  • April 2016

Nothing like breakfast for dinner, or an April update in early May.  Hard to believe how quickly the past month has gone by.  A few updates from April:

    • We were able to get away for a week to Colorado.  Partial connecting with family, partial relaxation in the mountains.  Photo below is the view from our room at Breckenridge.
    • Some exciting projects at work: partnerships with IFP Chicago, the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, and Full Spectrum Features.
    • Finalizing creation of our professional outreach database for the college.
    • Nearing the end of the Global Career Development Facilitator Training and ramping up research for my final project.
    • Just this morning learned that my paper was accepted into the Midwest Popular Culture Association Conference this October in Chicago.  The paper Healing Tragedy: Marketing 9/11-related Films to a Traumatized Nation focuses on how imagery in post 9/11 films directly and indirectly addressed the tragedy.
    • And, the winter beard has migrated north for the summer.  Stubble to return late 2016.

Needless to say, it has been a quiet month for photography.
